Tips for Making the Most of Your Day Trip

There’s no doubt that Las Vegas is an exhilarating and action-packed city. Whether you’re gambling in the casinos, celebrating at a nightclub, or catching a show, there’s always something to do in Sin City.

But sometimes, you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the Strip. If you’re looking for a change of pace, head out of the city for a day trip to one of the many incredible natural attractions nearby. Two of our favorites are Valley of Fire State Park and Seven Magic Mountains.

Here are our tips for making the most of your day trip to Valley of Fire and Seven Magic Mountains:

1. Get an early start: We recommend getting an early start to your day so you can make the most of your time at both Valley of Fire and Seven Magic Mountains. At Valley of Fire, you’ll want to have plenty of time to explore all the different hiking trails and photo ops. And at Seven Magic Mountains, we recommend arrive before noon so you can avoid the heat (it can get pretty hot in the desert!)

2. Pack plenty of water and snacks: Both Valley of Fire and Seven Magic Mountains are located in pretty remote areas, so it’s important to come prepared with plenty of water and snacks. Trust us, you don’t want to get stuck out in the middle of nowhere without anything to drink!

3. Wear comfortable shoes: There’s a lot of walking involved in exploring both Valley of Fire and Seven Magic Mountains, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. Flip flops are definitely not appropriate footwear for this adventure!

4. Bring a camera: These two attractions are absolutely breathtaking, so make sure you bring a camera along to capture all the memories. If you don’t have a DSLR camera, don’t worry – your smartphone will do just fine.
